Kansas or Missouri - which Kansas City?
There's a Kansas City in both states. The stadium is in Missouri. Most of the action (downtown, P&L) is in Missouri.
Is there public transit to Arrowhead?
Basically no. You drive, Uber, or know someone. Tailgating culture exists because everyone drives. Plan for it.
Which BBQ place is the best?
Wars have been fought over this. Joe's is consistently ranked #1 nationally. Gates is old school KC. Q39 is modern. Arthur Bryant's is historic. Try them all.
What else is there to do?

The Cauldron KC

βArrowhead tailgates are LEGENDARY. Chiefs fans invented modern tailgating and that energy will translate to World Cup. Find the Cauldron setup for soccer-specific vibes - we'll have the drums.β

βKC doesn't get enough credit for its soccer culture. Our new NWSL stadium is insane and the fans show up hard. Hit up Chicken N Pickle in North KC for pre-game - pickleball, beer, and wings.β
BBQ Judge JosΓ©

βJoe's KC in the gas station is the most famous, but Q39 has better atmosphere for groups. Get the burnt ends at either. For Mexican fans, KCK's Central Avenue has the community.β

βPower & Light District downtown is where the party is after matches. It's basically a giant outdoor bar complex that gets packed for sports. Walk from bar to bar - no cover before 10pm.β
