Insider Tips

Stadium Tips

Insider knowledge to make your stadium experience smoother and more enjoyable.

Stadium Food Prices

Expect to pay $8-15 for a hot dog, $12-18 for a beer, and $5-8 for water at US venues. Mexican venues are cheaper ($4-8 for food, $5-10 for beer). Canadian venues fall in between. Card payment accepted everywhere.

Transit Over Parking

Public transit is included with your match ticket at most venues. Parking is extremely limited and expensive ($40-80). Traffic jams after the match can take 2+ hours to clear. Take the train or bus.

The Seat Cushion Trick

Stadium seats are hard plastic or bleacher-style. Bring a lightweight folding seat cushion (most venues allow them). Your back will thank you after 3+ hours in the stadium.

WiFi & Connectivity

Stadium WiFi exists but is unreliable with 60,000+ people connected. Download maps and your ticket offline. Use the FIFA app in offline mode. Cell service is patchy during matches.

Designated Smoking Areas

All US and Canadian stadiums are smoke-free. Some venues have designated outdoor smoking areas on the concourse. Mexico venues may have more lenient policies. Vaping is treated the same as smoking.

Driving & Ride Shares

If you must drive, book parking in advance through the stadium app. Ride-share pickup is at designated zones (not at the stadium gate). Surge pricing is guaranteed after the match. Consider walking 10-15 min to escape the surge zone.
